
Dumsum Village Dumsum is the name of a small village in Mashabrum Tehsil, Ganchhe District, Gilgit-Baltistan. It is located at a distance of about 150 km from Skardu city and about 50 km from Khaplu. We have heard from our ancestors that Dumsum is a combination of two words. "Dum" means drain and "Sum" means three. That is, the land of three canals. Some people believe that because it is surrounded by three large mountains, it is named Dumsum. There are two separate routes from here, one to Kunduz and the other to Siltro, both of which are counted in the last village of Baltistan.
